The October Team is leaving today (Thursday, Oct. 6)!

A part of MAD Ministry's work is regular trips to spend time with the kids.  This time is so valuable because we get a chance to share our lives and our hearts with the children that we are serving.  The team will have a very busy schedule that includes the children at the Community Center, their siblings in the villa, the children at the trash dump, and many, many schools.

Please pray for them.  Pray that they stay healthy, safe and that God will do some cool stuff with them.

Check back daily.  I will include updates and pictures as often as I get them!

Update (Sat. Oct 8, 2005)

The team missed their flight in Sao Paulo so they spent the night at a hotel and will head to Recife at 6:15 tonight.  They will arrive at 10:30 PM and take the 4 hour bus trip to Campina and begin ministry in the morning at 8:00 AM.

Adam is eating everything that doesn't move...he doesn't want to miss anything that he hasn't tasted before.  Today he had pigs' feet, pigs' tongue, pigs' ear, pigs' tail and pigs' ... you get the idea.  He was quite the little taster (well, not really little).

Amber and Stacey have had a little touch of stomach ache but both seem to be doing better.  Terry has been teaching the Brazilians how to speak Portuguese - as usual :-).

The team all went for a walk in downtown Sao Paulo today.  They had fun but there was not much to see.  They did find an ice cream cooler and all had kibon : ).

Please keep the team in your prayers as they travel all night and hit the ground running on Sunday morning!

Making A Difference...one life at a time.
