Almost every evening the team went to a school or a church.  These were usually way out on some bumpy, guttered road and you would think that no one could even be out there.  However, each time we went we found the building packed with adorable children anxious to know that they are loved.

Some of the team were able to go with the older children from the Community Center to watch them do their English class.  This was a awesome opportunity.  The children catch a bus into town and go to the school.  They have teachers who are really excited about teaching them and who really care about how they are doing.

  

The children have bonded with their teacher so well that, when she was out sick, they wrote her letters of encouragement.

 

 

 

Mother's Day in Brazil occurred while we were there.  We celebrated with the mothers from the villa with food, games and presents.  Everyone really had a good time.
